Scotty's phantom roomate

 

 

When Scottie again over booked us at our traditional Blackpool residence, the Norbreck ‘Colditz’ Castle hotel for the 2004 tour he was left with a twin room to himself. (He will go to extreme lengths to avoid rooming with Bell or Coates)

On arrival we just had time to unpack before heading off to Fleetwood on the tram for the 1^st fixture. Once returned after a successful day everyone quickly changed & headed to the hotel bar to prepare for an evening in down town Blackpool. Everyone that is except Scottie who appeared unchanged & exasperated, declaring that someone had moved into his room & had carefully placed all his clothes next to Scotties in the wardrobe as well as doing the same with his toiletries in the bathroom.

The rest of us wait in amazement as Scottie rants with reception staff, finally discovering that the room had been mistakenly double booked with a Mr. Lefevre from Menston. As Mr. Lefevre is not present Scottie decides to move out to another room (which he negotiates a reduced fee for).

Now after 2 years extensive searching Scotties phantom room mate has finally appeared as a Chairman & chief executive of a leading insurance company.
